Ashvault Saga
Ashvault Saga is the kind of mobile RPG that respects your time more than most. Battles are turn-based, you can speed them up, and the auto-resolve for easy fights means you spend your energy on the encounters that matter. The story follows a disgraced knight rebuilding a shattered order, and it earns its emotional moments by taking its time.
Party building is where it shines. Every character has a clear role, but you can retrain them if your lineup feels wrong, and there's no premium wall blocking the good units. We ran an all-mage team for a while out of curiosity and the game let us make it work.
The art direction leans painterly and the soundtrack is genuinely strong. If you miss console-style RPGs on a phone, this is close as it gets without a controller.
